Getting Creative in a Time of Chaos
In the midst of this pandemic, Definition Films hopes that everyone from clients to friends are safe and healthy. Like many other businesses around the country, we are exercising conscientious distance to ensure that health and safety are our top priorities. Although it may seem like collaboration is out of reach, the exact opposite is true. Thanks to internet, communications progress can still be made for the goals we were all pursuing before the setback of COVID-19. We are optimistic in using video and strategy to keep working hard for our business and our clients.
Here are some alternative ways to accomplish video or marketing projects you may have had working or had wanted to start.
Bob Kunst Painting
Here is an example of a project completed in the midst of COVID-19 by utilizing stock footage and assets from a past project.
Zoom Strategy Session
Zoom is an effective video chatting medium that we can use to build ideas. Even before this crisis, Definition Films had used Zoom to collaborate, so we understand the useful aspects of online, face to face communication.
Keeping storytelling at the top of mind, we can repurpose existing assets from your archives or even take past video projects and re-shape the message and story. It doesn’t matter how far apart we are, collaboration is our first priority and even through a shelter-in-place, we can still collaborate with the tools that we utilize.
Stock video is abundant in our day and age, so quality footage is available without needing to go out and shoot on location.

Animation & Motion Graphics
Motion graphics and animations can be an incredibly impactful way to convey a message, and it can be done entirely remotely. This way of video marketing is made completely on the computer so in person contact is not necessary.
We had an opportunity to utilize motion graphic design for these spots:
Repurposing Existing Assets
If you have existing video with us or an outside vendor, we are more than happy to repurpose and update what you have to create a new project. Whether it’s website background loops, shortened spots for social media or Instagram stories, we are here to help.
Using past project video files that weren’t in the cut, we edited a new spot for Garrett Ace Hardware for an April 2020 launch. In addition to video, you can repurpose photos to create a video, similar to what we did for Kendall Jackson for a Country Summer ad:
How Can We Help?
Beyond what we have suggested above, we are open to other suggestions. Safety and collaboration are our top priorities. We want to keep creating quality videos for our clients, whatever it takes, Definition Films is ready to work.
